After making the monster tags for my last video, I had one monster left over and didn't want to neglect him!
I made this card using dies from We R Memory Keepers -- the frame die is from one set, and the square with rounded corners is from a separate set. I thought this sentiment was a good fit for the monster because he's got his cute little hands out! :o) I wrote "I Love You" with a black fineliner and spelled out the rest with little foam Thickers from American Crafts.
In my video, I showed this card that I made back in February using Taylored Expressions stamps and dies [click here for the original blog post for this card]:
Here's the other card I showed in the video -- I made this for my dad's birthday this year!
The cat is from Penny Black's Good Day stamp set. I coloured him to look a little bit like Humble! :o) They have a range of stamp sets and rubber stamps featuring these adorable cats doing different things -- typing, driving a car, riding a bicycle...they're just so cute!
Here's my video showing how I made the monster card, and I also share a simple tip for placing letter stickers!

For today's post, I've made a set of Halloween tags featuring these super-cute dimensional monster stickers I bought...
I just think these little guys have so much personality! I mean, check out the monster with his hand on his hip. :D
Here's the video I made showing how to make 'em!

Hey, folks! Today I'd like to share this monster card that I made a while back...
:o) How cute is that monster? I just think he's so charming. He's from Fancy Pants' Be Different collection, and so are the balloon die-cuts. I love that stamp with the numbers -- it's from Jillibean Soup's Birthday Bisque clear stamp set. I got that stamp set because of that stamp, and when I first saw the stamp, I immediately thought, "I think that will look neat fussy cut!"
I heat embossed the numbers with Ranger embossing powder in Tan. I really like that embossing powder because it's a nice change from using white [I think the tan gives a softer look], and it suits pet-themed projects so well! :D I coloured in the 6 with a Copic marker.
This card appeared in Paper Crafts' January 2015 issue in a category for birthday projects that featured numbers. I remember when I first read about that category in the publication call, no ideas or supplies came to mind, so I wasn't that drawn to the category -- I thought I'd end up not making anything to submit for it. When I looked through my craft supplies, remembered the Jillibean Soup set I had, and found some other things that stirred up some ideas, I wound up having so much fun making stuff for that category! You just never know, eh? :o)
Here today to share another scrapbook page I made back in April 2014...
Humble and his little lion roar yawn. :D I love his yawns and try to catch them with my camera -- many of the pictures turn out blurry, but I love those pictures, too! In this case, I was lucky enough to catch a very clear Humble yawn on Halloween 2009. He looks like he's singing opera! :o)
The adorable monsters, frame, 'ROAR!' and two pieces of 6x6 paper are from Fancy Pants' Be Different collection [that's a fun one!].
And now for a sort of random share...
Growing up, I never liked school and being in a classroom. Once in a while, I would occupy myself by making something out of a found object. Here's something I made with a piece of wire...
A little dog being walked by an invisible person. :D I think I was around 15 when I made this. I can't remember what class I was in, but I know it wasn't anywhere CLOSE to being as interesting as this piece of wire was to me. :D Ha!
Here today to share these mini projects I put together using some fun stuff I received from Kelly! I used paper from the Snow Day 6x6 paper pad and stamps from the Monster Mash and Critters in the Arctic stamp sets to make these little guys...
:o)
In yesterday's post, I showed part of a piece of paper from Snow Day -- that sheet has cute images that you can cut apart to make some fun tags. I used small tag dies to die-cut 3 of the designs. I wanted to decorate them with characters, but the characters needed to be small enough to fit on the tags. The little monsters from Monster Mash were just the right size, so I thought, "Why not have monsters on holiday projects?" :D To give two of the monsters their winter look, I used the little hat image from Critters in the Arctic! I stamped the hats first, then masked them off before stamping the monsters. Then there was a little fussy cutting and the ol' foam tape. Simple and fun to make! :o)
Oh! When I coloured in the monsters' mouths, I left a little uncoloured to give them teeth. You may have noticed that I gave the little guy on the left a little gap in his teeth. :o) Hee hee.
On another note, I have to say that I *love* chunky twine on miniature gift boxes. :D
Here to share some treat packaging projects for my last reshare post of the day!
:o) This is my Luv U Candies Box from the January/February 2011 issue of Paper Crafts! I made this using my Cricut machine. I used the Love Struck cartridge to die-cut the box and conversation heart. The smiling heart-shaped balloon is from one of my favourite cartridges -- Create a Critter! Another one of my treat packaging projects from that issue can be found here! :o)
:o) I made this Easter treat pouch 2 years ago from a Silhouette cut file, some Lawn Fawn paper and a super-cute bunny sticker from Doodlebug!
The next two projects were made for past Paper Crafts' blog hops:
:o) Made in 2011 for the 350 Cards & Gifts blog hop! To create the box, I used the Tea Light Thank You Gift pattern by Lori Tecler, which can be found on this page of patterns from the issue! I can't take credit for the flower border, either -- it's a fancy sticker embellishment from Martha!
:o) I made this one last year for another 350 Cards & Gifts blog hop! The super-cute monster stamp is from Starving Artistamps -- they have such fun stamp designs! I didn't have any candy handy when I was photographing this project, so this monster is extra excited about Halls. Ha! :D
Thanks for visiting today, and have a great weekend!
Before this week, I should've had this sign hanging from the craft room door as a warning of the craft supply chaos inside. Ha! I made this door hanger over two years ago and it still makes me laugh. :D I say "craft room", but it's not just for my crafting! It's also the home of one of Humble's forts, some of his Humble-sized furniture and about half of his toys. :o) It's more of a fun room, I should say! :D
This week has been a pretty productive one -- not with that much actual crafting, but with organizing! :D I've wanted to re-organize my craft supplies for some time now because the way I was storing a lot of my supplies just wasn't working. I had a lot of stuff in shoe boxes and plastic bins, and the stuff that was on shelves was really crammed together, so whenever I reached to get a stamp or something, a bunch of other things would get knocked to the floor. Ha! The supplies I tend to use the most are the ones that are easily visible, easy to get to and easy to find when I'm looking for something specific, so I knew something had to change. I really want to get better use out of ALL of my supplies and not just some of 'em.
I've had my eye on the Raskog cart from Ikea for a while now, so I finally splurged and got a few. I ended up getting four -- two for the craft/fun room, and two for the living room [yes, my craft supplies spill into the living room, too!]. I really like the size of the carts, having open shelves/trays instead of drawers [so things are easy to see!], and the fact that they're on wheels. :D And they're super-cute! I'm still not completely done with re-organizing things, but I hope to have pictures to post next week.
I just wanted to warn you guys that the next several days will be heavy with the re-share posts! Even though I started my blog over, there are a lot of old projects that I love and want to have up on my blog again. :o) I'll have some new stuff to share next week.
Hope you've been having some good crafty times! Until next post!
Hello there! You may have seen Paper Crafts' super-fun Stamp It! Techniques issue out on newsstands! I wish I had made more things to submit to this issue, but I just couldn't get my act together at the time. Ha! I was, however, really overjoyed when they accepted this here project because it's one of my fave submissions! I present to you... Birthday Monster Box [formerly known as Ferocious Monster Gift Box]! :o) I love that little monster!! The monster, his fiery breath and the buildings are from My Cute Stamps' Eeek! A Monster! stamp set [funtastic!]. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Sophie's Sentiments stamp set [that stamp set gets a ton of use!].
And speaking of Lawn Fawn, I have a really fun announcement to make!
Kelly invited me to join the Lawn Fawn design team.
AAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
How crazy is that?! I'm a little nervous but also over the moon -- it's still kind of unreal to me. And I'm not the only new team member! The card making super-talent Julie Campbell is joining the team, too! Woo-Hooooo!!!
Check out the Lawn Fawn blog today for a sneak peek at the new stamp set to be released on February 10th, and tomorrow we'll be sharing projects made with this new stamp set!!
Just got my hands on the new special issue of Paper Crafts magazine, Card Creations: Favorite Occasions, Vol. 2! Here's one of my cards that appears in this issue -- I love those little monsters! :o) Thanks for lookin' and have a lovely -- and hopefully crafty -- weekend!
