A Flower-Shaped Card!

Here's a card I made yesterday using another stamp from Lawn Fawn's Hello Friend stamp set!

:o)

I just love shaped cards!  I created the card base using a QuicKutz flower die that I have, and the leaves were hand-cut and bent a little for dimension.  Super-fun to make!! :o)

A Card With Hello Friend!

My Lawn Fawn order arrived in yesterday's mail -- WOO-HOO!  I was surprised that it only took 7 days, considering the holiday season and the fact that it had to cross the border!  I couldn't wait to play with the new stamp sets, so here's a card I made yesterday evening with the super-cute Hello Friend stamp set!

:o)

Here's another sentiment that's very Humble to me...he makes me feel like the luckiest goose.  Man, am I mushy about my cat or what? :o)

I had made a somewhat similar design for a recent publication call -- that card didn't get picked up, but I still love the idea and wanted to use it again [and I'll probably use it again and again and again -- ha!].

Don't you just love the larger-sized sentiments from Hello Friend?  It's neat to have the sentiment be the focal point for a change! :o)

ETA: Just wanted to answer a question I received about the inks used! :o)  The black ink I used is Versafine in Onyx Black -- it stamps nice and crisp [I don't get the same results with every single Versafine ink colour, but the Onyx Black is, in my humble opinion, a gotta-have].  The orange happy face is Versafine in Habanero, which is probably my favourite orange -- it's such a great, rich shade!  The rest of the colours I used are VersaMagic chalk inks, which are my FAVOURITE inks to use -- I just love 'em!!  The colours are beautiful, I love the matte finish of the chalk inks, and I love the crisp, clean impressions I can get with them.  They're the dreamiest things to ever happen to my stamps! :o)  Hope this helps!

Let's Celebrate With a 5-Layer Cake!

Here's yet another card using the Bake Me a Cake stamp set [and a sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments]!  I made the cake quite similar to my previous cake card, only taller! :o)

:o)

Super-fun to make!!  My candy-colour-love strikes again!

Check out the other awesome contest entries here, and there's still a week to enter your own cards! :o)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a crafty weekend!

You're the Cat's Meow!

This card was inspired by my Humble Bumble, who is my biggest inspiration! :o)  I even tried to colour in the sweet little cat to look like Humble. :o)

So this is Humble in the 'Burbs.  Heh! :o)

I used the AH-DORABLE Critters in the 'Burbs stamp set from Lawn Fawn and did some colouring and lots of fussy cutting.  I'm a beginner with Copic markers but really LOVE colouring with them -- they're a lot of fun! :o)

A Card With Sew Lovely!

Here's another card I made for the Lawn Fawn contest, this time using their Sew Lovely stamp set!

:o)

I love candy colours!  The circular 'frame' is the border stamp from the set -- I just curved it as I applied the stamp to my acrylic block.  Isn't that such a great thing about clear stamps?  You can bend them to customize their shape! :o)

Thanks for lookin'!

Lawn Fawn Contest and Bake Me a Cake Card!

You may have heard that Lawn Fawn is holding an awesome contest right now -- you can win a chance to have your card shown in their first-ever catalog and in their CHA booth!  How exciting is that?!

Your card must be made with one of their following stamp sets: Sew Lovely, Critters in the 'Burbs, Bake Me a Cake or Hello Friend.  Thankfully, I have the first three sets, and I'm just waiting for Hello Friend to arrive in the mail [I ordered it right after the release -- fingers crossed that it arrives before the contest's deadline!].

Here's a card I made with the super-cute Bake Me a Cake stamp set!

:o)
My camera decided it didn't want to pick up on the colours as they really are -- ha!  The card base is actually a minty teal colour, which I thought made for a cute, kind of retro colour combo with the green.  And the coloured-in cake stand is a bit more teal-y.  Please go easy on my colouring -- I'm a beginner when it comes to Copic markers!

When I first got this stamp set, I was a tiny bit nervous that I would -- despite this being a CLEAR stamp set -- still somehow manage to mess up the alignment of the stamps when building cakes [knowing me, I thought I'd definitely stamp something crookedly!].  But it's actually really easy to line up the stamps, and it's REALLY FUN to build your own custom cakes and decorate 'em as you wish!  This stamp set is TONS of fun to craft with!  Love it! :o)
