Paper Crafts Magazine Presents: Card Creations Volume 10 Blog Hop!

Hello, folks!
Today I'm excited to be part of a fun Paper Crafts blog hop in celebration of the new special issue, Card Creations: Volume 10!

Since it's the 10th anniversary of Paper Crafts' most popular special issue, today's blog hop revolves around the number 10!

One of the ideas presented to us was the idea of posting 10 cards we made in the last 10 years.  I haven't been a card maker for 10 years, but I liked this general idea.  I thought it would be fun to share 10 cards that didn't get picked up by Paper Crafts.  I crossed my fingers and toes when I submitted these babies, but alas, no luck with 'em.  Try, try again, right? :D   Non-fancy pictures for today -- these are the straight-on-photos-against-a-neutral-background shots that I submitted [without the watermarks, of course].  Let's get on with the paper-crafted show, shall we?

I'm horrible at sewing, but I love sewing-themed supplies! The cute sentiment I used here is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Awww! That's Fluffles the cat and an adorable sentiment, both from Stampendous. The heart frame is from Taylored Expressions.

I thought this one was really fun. :D  And I'm a big, big fan of punny sentiments!

This card features some October Afternoon supplies.  I love the cheerful colours on this one.

Those funny baby stamps are from Starving Artistamps, and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I really like the idea of colouring in the background and leaving the images uncoloured -- just gives a different look!

BA HA HA! This is hands-down one of my favourite punny sentiments. EVER. All of the fun stamps used on this card are from Starving Artistamps.  I love stamping on patterned paper to make jazzy characters such as this polka-dotted dinosaur!  I accented him with a Copic marker and a white gel pen. :D

Hee hee. This one features fun stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs.

I love how this one turned out -- and skating animals?  C'mon! :D  They are just pure stamping fun.  All of the adorable stamps used on this card are from Chicken Girl Design.

Love that snowman with the different sized eyes!

The fussy cutting on this card took quite a while, but I'm really happy with how it turned out! The pretty butterfly stamps are from Martha Stewart Crafts, and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

I hope my cards brought you some smiles today! :o)

Long Time No Blog

Hello, folks!
So it seems I kind of just disappeared for a while there -- I'm so sorry about that!  Craft-wise, I got kind of sidetracked by PC's Holiday Cards & More call and the November/December call.  I felt like I was in a bit of a crafting slump during those calls, and it seemed like I was struggling to come up with anything 'fresh' to submit -- it just seemed like I was falling back on the same layout/design for too many projects.  Does this happen to you guys?

I'll have some new projects here [which I promised to post over a month ago...rolling my eyes at myself right now] some time next week.  I'm also gearing up for a spring cleaning sale to benefit my furry friends at Rolling Dog Farm -- that will happen some time next week, too. :o)

Thanks for stopping by today!
