I was hoping to send in 50 postcards, but I fell short by a few. My printer decided it no longer wanted to load the paper properly or print on the actual paper. ?!?! You know that hilarious scene in Office Space where they start wailing on the photocopier? I wanted to bring a similar beat down on my printer. Blargh!
I wound up having to make most of them with a digital program because I was waaay too slow with making them by hand. This was my first time designing things like this with a digital program. To be honest, when I first started seeing these types of programs online, I really wasn't into the idea. I like making things by hand rather than with a computer. And while I still prefer making things by hand, once I started playing around with designing the postcards digitally, I did have some fun with 'em! I feel like I still have a lot to learn, but I can see the appeal of these kinds of programs now when you're looking to put something together a little more quickly.
